Welcome aboard! We are Chet & Jessy sailing on our catamaran Navasana.

Chet

Chet’s sailing madness started in England where he learnt to sail, did some RORC races, got his RYA Yachtmaster and then moved to the US in 2001. Got blown around in San Francisco bay with breezy one design races on his J/24 (Nixon was Cool…) and coastal cruising on his Beneteau First 38s5 (Sudden Stops Necessary).

In 2008 Chet decided to take a break from work and go cruising. He spent 2 years refitting Sudden Stops Necessary and sold Nixon. He left San Francisco in Oct 2010, did the Baja haha, crossed the pacific ocean, visited some beautiful south pacific atolls and islands on the way and ended up in Australia, selling the boat there in Feb 2012.

Suffering from chronic sailboat withdrawal symptoms he bought J/92 Secret Agent Man in March 2012 which he raced on San Francisco Bay. In 2015 he moved back to Europe,  met Jessy and bought Magic Carpet, a Beneteau First 30 JK which they sailed together for a few years before getting their current boat, Navasana, a Nautitech 46 Open in 2022.

Jessy

Jessy was new to sailing when they first met, but she’s always loved to travel. Her first career was a travel writer before becoming a psychologist.  First mate on Magic Carpet as well as on double handed charters in Seychelles, Greece, BVIs, Bora Bora to name a few she is now an accomplished sailor. 

Jessy is also a wine lover, winesailorgirl on instagram so you will always find a well stocked wine fridge on Navasana with a detailed explanation of each wine. Now you have the best reason to come aboard!
